The location of the cottage was ideal for exploring the surrounding areas of Coldstream, Lauder, and Galashiels. the proximity to Berwick-upon-Tweed made it convenient for day trips. the hosts were accommodating and provided everything we needed, from groceries to directions. The cottage itself was spacious and offered amazing views of the countryside. the added bonus of a spa with a sauna and hot tub was a luxurious touch, although an extra charge was required. Cooking on the Aga was a unique experience that added to the cozy atmosphere of the place. Although the amenities were top-notch, such as the flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, the cost of the spa facilities may be a consideration for some. Overall, the value proposition of the cottage was balanced with the luxury it offered. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Scottish countryside.
